Just about a month until the wedding.

I am hoping it does not fall off my thigh when I'm walking around, as my last thigh device did frequently. Oh well, I guess if it doesn't pan out, I can always shove the pump in my bra somewhere. I am just afraid that if my boobs start vibrating or making a "boop beep boop" noise during the ceremony, I will be unable to stop giggling.
Though I'm sure that's a wedding story that would follow me for the rest of my life.
If anybody knows of any other good "things" for hiding a pump under a wedding dress, by all means, let me know!

I'm not a pumper, but I know of a lady who says she tucks her pump into her pantyhose leg. She says the hose are snug enough that the pump doesn't move around.
ReplyDeleteI'm getting married next June, so I'm anxious to hear how this worked out for you! I've been pondering ways to keep my pump attached at a handy spot where I won't have to perform yoga like movements just to operate the buttons.
ReplyDeleteI had my pump attached to my bra during a school assembly (I'm a teacher) and all of a sudden I hear "Boop beep boop" from my boobs... Red faced, I scurried to the bathroom before the next series of beeps! haha I can just hear it now "Ms. M's boobs BEEP!!! For real!!!"

I wore a bike-short-like "shaper" (i.e., girdle) under my wedding dress, and clipped the pump to my inner thigh. This usually works for me when I wear a skirt and just regular bike shorts underneath. Did it hold up? Nope, my pump fell off as I was walking down the aisle, and it hung down (under my dress, which no one could see) throughout the ceremony. Did I care? Nah, there were more important things going on. I just re-clipped it as soon as we walked back up the aisle and out of the ceremony room.
ReplyDeleteAs a bridesmaid in another wedding, I wore a petticoat under my dress (as did the other bridesmaids) and had a special pocket sewn into the front of it where I wore the pump, which stayed put all day.
If your dress is strapless, you could try it under the arm of your strapless bra. Do you know what I mean? In the side.
ReplyDeleteI have put my pump in pantyhose as well and then cut the legs off. I guess that would be like Lyrecha's biker shorts. They also make a shaper thing and I can't remember the name of it but it is sort of liker biker shorts but a slimmer thing and you can buy those at just about every store including Target now I think.
I always go for the longer tubing when I have a formal occasion that way I can try to stick my pump in several locations. Not such a good idea when the pump falls to your knees in the middle of your ceremony though.

Scott--it didn't really drag so much as hang. It definitely didn't reach the floor! And with all the tight constricting garments going on underneath, it didn't really swing much, either. But come unclipped it definitely did!
